Dr. Marianna Petrosyan

Dr. Marianna Petrosyan joined the Laser Eye Center in early 2011. She completed her undergraduate studies with honors in Biological Sciences from California State University, Northridge and then continued her optometric studies graduating Cum Laude from the prestigious Southern California College of Optometry. In Optometry school, she was recognized for achieving all years of academic excellence in the Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honor Society.

While attending Optometry school, she completed optometric rotations at the Kaiser Permanente Red Eye Clinic with emphasis on ocular emergencies and primary eye care, at the Center for the Partially Sighted with emphasis on low vision rehabilitation and visual aids, and at the Veterans Affairs West Los Angeles with a large concentration on diagnosis of ocular disease and management of glaucoma. Dr. Petrosyan is also certified in glaucoma treatment.

Dr. Petrosyan works alongside Dr. Shammas, Laser Eye Center’s Chief Refractive Surgeon, and an experienced group of optometrists to thoroughly examine and manage patients who are interested in improving their vision with refractive procedures such as LASIK, PRK, lens implants and pterygium removal.

Dr. Petrosyan resides in Pasadena with her husband who practices dentistry and their young daughter Emily. She enjoys many water activities, exploring different foods, and traveling to unique destinations.
