Restylane®
Restylane® is a cosmetic product designed to enhance one’s appearance without any incisions or downtime. Restylane® smoothes wrinkles and sculpts lips. Additionally, it can be used for chin, cheek, as well as other facial areas.
Restylane® is the first and only FDA-approved dermal filler made of a biodegradable non-animal stabilized hyaluronic acid (NASHA). Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in all living organisms and provides volume and fullness to the skin.
Restylane® injections are a growing favorite. Approved by the FDA in December 2003, Restylane® can produce positive results on facial wrinkles, particularly around the mouth and nose. Another benefit is the long-lasting results.

Dr. Malak Shammas started her journey in medicine by earning her medical degree from Georgetown University in Washington D.C. Following completion in 1993, she began her residency at the prestigious Cedars Sinai Medical Center. In 1996, Dr. Malak Shammas joined the esteemed Cedars Sinai staff as an attending physician in Ambulatory Clinics and Employee Healthcare. Dr. M. Shammas enjoys teaching and has trained several staff physicians at Cedars Sinai and has continued teaching to this day. Dr. Malak Shammas is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and is a member of the American College of Physicians.
Dr. Malak Shammas joined an established private practice group in July, 2008. As a specialist in Internal medicine, Dr. M. Shammas strives for excellence in health care management, preventative care, wellness maintenance, as well as, stressing the importance and benefits of good nutrition.
