Dr. Lina Manoukian
Dr. Lina Manoukian grew up in Southern California. She received her Bachelor’s of Science degree at the University of California, Los Angeles in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, graduating with departmental honors. While attending UCLA, Dr. Manoukian volunteered her time in the Low Vision Rehabilitation Department at the Jules Stein Eye Institute, where she gained her passion for Optometry.
Dr. Manoukian attended the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) at Marshall B. Ketchum University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with her Doctorate of Optometry. Her externship sites included the Veteran’s Affairs Hospital at the Los Angeles Ambulatory Care Center and the University Eye Care Center at Los Angeles. During her externships, Dr. Manoukian gained an extensive didactic and clinical education in ocular disease, low vision, and specialty contact lenses, while also learning how to be a caring and compassionate eye-‐care provider.
Shortly after graduating SCCO, Dr. Manoukian began working at the Laser Eye Center. Dr. Manoukian truly enjoys providing personalized patient care in constructing the best surgical plan for her patients. Dr. Manoukian loves to see patients’ lives improve with refractive, pterygium, and cataract surgery. She also successfully works with patients who have particular corneal conditions assisting to fit them into specialty contact lenses.
In her free time, Dr. Manoukian enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is also partial to cooking and traveling to new places.
