Dr. Esther Park
Dr. Esther Park was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She attended the University of California, Berkeley in pursuit of a career in healthcare in order to give back and follow her passion to help others.
Dr. Park graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Molecular Cell Biology with an emphasis on Cell Development. During her undergraduate studies, she was mentored and trained by Dr. Ian Bailey, OD, MS, FAAO and Professor of Berkeley’s Low Vision Clinic. Inspired by the patient interactions, Dr. Park continued her education at the University of California, Berkeley School of Optometry to become a Doctor of Optometry.
During her optometric studies, Dr. Park worked on various research projects including comparing low vision devices as well as a National Eye Institute research program to test tear components in dry eye patients. She completed her externship at the University of California, Los Angeles and CSU Northridge specializing in contact lens fittings, and also at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, where she honed her skills in co-management of refractive and cataract surgery as well as the anterior chamber phakic lens Verisyse and STAAR Implantable Collamer Lens (ICLs).
Shortly after graduation, Dr. Park joined our prestigious group of doctors at the Laser Eye Center, and is able to provide the highest quality of eye care for patients seeking freedom from glasses and contact lenses, co-manage in cataract extraction and pterygium removal, and provide the full scope of optometric eye care to improve patients quality of life.
Dr. Park is committed to the highest level of eye care and excited for the future of refractive surgery given our advanced technology platforms.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Park serves on mission trips to Haiti and is an avid runner who enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and friends.
